❖ Dropped out in seventh grade due to a bad combination of being bullied in school and going to pcbangs to escape.

❖ Had to repeat seventh grade in his home schooling program.

❖ Because of his dual citizenship, he spends his summers in the US to visit his relatives. Jen actually isn’t his blood relative; throughout his childhood, Hansol’s and Jen’s families were very close which led him to believe that Jen was his “cousin in America”.

❖ Hansol’s mom and Somi’s dad are friends from moving into the same neighborhood in Korea; their two families have been close for so many years that Hansol can find Somi as an infant in the background of his childhood photos.

❖ Hansol is back at Yonsei to start his junior year from his military service after having enlisted at the completion of his sophomore year. The students he was familiar with have already graduated when he returned, so he sticks with Jen whenever their breaks line up in their schedule.
